eBay Business Seminar To Be Held
Franklin Clark Wednesday, November 19, 2008
The University of Kentucky’s Trigg County extension office is planning a seminar on how to use eBay for small business purposes at the Trigg County Extension Office on Highway 68 on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
There will be a maximum capacity of about 20 – 25 people, but Trigg County Extension Agent Janeen Tramble said 10 people would also constitute a decent turnout. There is a $5 fee to attend, and the seminar is open to everyone. “This workshop will introduce the basic concepts of setting up a business using eBay,” Tramble said.
Presenting the workshop will be Mark Johnson, manager of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development’s Small and Minority Business Branch. Topics discussed include the legal aspects, researching the competition, how to ship merchandise and receive payments, how to use reserves to make sure money isn’t lost on an item, setting up a store and writing effective item descriptions and taking good photographs.
