Beta Nu Chapter met last week

Beta Nu Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met on March 2 with 12 members in attendance. A report was given on the Mother - Daughter Tea given February 27 for the purpose of starting and ELAN chapter for girls from 8th through 11th grades.
Six girls signed up and another meeting is scheduled for March 13 to interest more young ladies to become involved in an organization that emphasizes education, service and association.
Nancy Moore reported that the Math-a-Thon video about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital had been shown to children K - 5th grades. As soon as permission slips from parents are in and books are ordered, members will get them to the teachers for the children to work.
Plans for the Scrapbook Crop to be held March 27 at the Cadiz Baptist Church Activities Building were finalized. Nine or ten venders have signed up to be present. The event will start at 8 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m.
Lunch will be served as well as snacks during the day. Anyone interested in attending should contact Holly McCormick at 522-1392.
Officers for the 2010-2011 year were elected as follows: President, Lisa Strader; Vice President, Cathy Cravens; Treasurer, Nancy Moore; Secretary, Gloria Davis and Parliamentarian, Jody Brewer.
There were dual Outstanding Members named - Nancy Moore and Mindy Hargrove for all their work with the Angel Tree, Golf Scramble, Math-A-Thon and other activities. ?Jody Brewer was named outstanding First Year member for all the work she had done since joining.
