Next Wednesday, World Help’s “Children of the World” will once again be performing a concert in the High School’s Little Theater.

Children of the World are an international children’s choir featuring orphans from countries such as India, Uganda, Brazil and the Philippines. This will be the third concert sponsored by Crossroads Fellowship Church, the last of which was held last October. Pastor Geoff Baggett said that there are three World Help choirs touring the continent and encouraged the public to come see the children perform praise and worship songs, in both English and native dialects, as well as their personal testimonies. Last year’s concert had pretty strong attendence with close to 300 people, Baggett said.

World Help is a nondenominational Christian charity that sponsors children around the world by providing food, clothing, medical attention and educational opportunities, according to their Web site, www.worldhelp.net. They also distribute Bibles and try to start new churches to spread the Gospel.
