A traffic crash press release prepared by the Cadiz Police Department reported that witnesses saw the juvenile struck by 37-year-old Kim Mott. The report adds that the boy ran from a grass lot across Jefferson Street from Hopson Store Road into the path of Mott’s automobile. Due to heavy post-parade traffic, Mott traveled at a low rate of speed, estimated to be between 15-25 miles-per-hour.
The boy, unnamed by police was transported to Trigg County Hospital for treatment. Mott was reported to be uninjured and her car undamaged.
