Rev. and Mrs. Don and Edie Moore of Evansville plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary May 21 with an open house reception hosted by First Southern Baptist Church and Terry Don Moore from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church, 25 S. Cullen Ave./LIoyd Expressway, Evansville, IN. Friends and family are invited to attend this joyous celebration. The couple prefer no gifts.

Rev. Don Moore and the former Edie Adams were married May 26,1956 in Cadiz, Ky. by the Rev. Roy Marquess. Don is the son of Thelma and the late Bill Moore of Cadiz. Edie is the daughter of the late Troy and Monico Adams of Cadiz.

They are the parents of one son: Terry Don Moore, of Evansville. They also have two grandchildren, Chaise and Mackenzie Moore.

Rev. Don Moore is senior pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Evansville, recently observing his 34th anniversary as pastor of First Southern. He previously pastored 49th Avenue Baptist (now Eastlake Baptist Church) Gary, In., Southside Baptist Church, Princeton, Ky., and Cross Roads Baptist Church, Eddyville, Ky.

Edie Moore worked for ten years in sales at the former deJong's of Evansville.

The couple also plan to celebrate with a family dinner at the Log Inn, followed by a motorcycle trip in late summer.
