An early morning fire destroyed the business on March 29, 2006. No injuries resulted from the fire that destroyed the building.
Subway manager Joseph Mastey said that the restaurant expanded 35 feet beyond its original eastern wall to create additional space in the dining room for customers.
“By expanding, we can have half of our restaurant for smokers and half non smoking. It will be better for all of our customers,” Mastey said.
The expansion of the dining room meant deletion of the drive-in window for Subway patrons.
“The whole inside design is totally different,” said Mastey. “It is the new edition for Subway interiors.”
