Revs. Monty Flanigan and Norman Cotton officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Rogers died on Monday, May 22, 2006, at 8:19 a.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.
Mrs. Rogers was born on July 11, 1923, in Canton. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Bentley and Garvie Ellen Calhoun Lyons.
Mrs. Rogers was a retired Patient’s Aide at Western State Hospital; and was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Rogers, Sr., on November 15, 2002; and son, Larry D. Rogers in September 2004; grandson, Joseph Harry “Joey” Rogers; sons-in-law, Roger Thomas and Jack Cook; two brothers, Thomas Lyons, and W.C. Lyons; and two sisters, Ophia Cunningham and Lurlene Curling.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Betty Rogers of Cadiz; three daughters and sons-in-law, Frances R. Cook of Arab, Ala., Margie Ellen and John R. Vinson, III, of Cadiz, and Ann R. Thomas of Evansville, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Rogers of Gracey; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay and Grace Lyons of Springfield, Tenn., and Homer and Delores Lyons of Montgomery, Ind.; 11 grandchildren, Kim Adcock, Kerri Stewart, Kelli M. Vinson, Susan Carter, John Mark Vinson, Dr. Treav Tooke, Carla Holmes, Ken Rogers, III, Matthew Rogers, Jason Rogers, and Bryan Rogers; 16 great-grandchildren, Jessica Stewart, Kayce Stewart, Jon Tyler Golden, Kyle Carter, Jr., Catherine Carter, Jacey Holmes, Isaac Tooke, Jackson Ford Vinson, Jordan Olivia Vinson, Smith Broadbent Rogers, Hayden Elizabeth Rogers, Margaret Maddox Rogers, Derek Rogers, Erica Rogers, Landi Rogers, and Addison Rogers; brother-in-law, Paul Curling of Cadiz; sister-in-law, Blanche Lyons (Mrs. W.C.) of Ripley, WV.
