Funeral services for Algie Mae Murphy, 76, of Princeton, were conducted on Friday, January 26, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Delton Beall officiated at the services. Burial followed in Meeks Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Mrs. Murphy died on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at 8:25 p.m., at her home following a long illness.

Mrs. Murphy was born on August 13, 1930, in Caldwell County. She was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Retha Slaton Pidcock.

Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kris Hopper; and a sister, Reba Ray Boyd.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Murphy of White House, Tenn., and Shane Murphy of Princeton; two daughters, Debbie Hopper of Princeton, and Darla Elliott of Caldwell County; three grandchildren, Gracie Elliott, Sara Leftwich, and Stacie Murphy; and a great-grandchild, Evan Timothy Leftwich; a sister, Arra Louise Riley of Princeton; nephew and Caretaker, Jim Ray; and several nieces and nephews.
