Graveside services for Alice Murphy, 92, of Princeton, were conducted on Friday, December 19, 2008, at 10 a.m., at Princeton Memorial Gardens. Morgan’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Tommy Tackett officiated at the services. Burial followed in the cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy died on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at 2:30 a.m., at the Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa following a short illness.

Mrs. Murphy was born on April 2, 1916, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Perry and Lillie Mae Mitchell Cunningham.

Mrs. Murphy was a retired self-employed Beautician.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Murphy; and a daughter, Nancy Duff.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Clara Murphy of Eddyville; a son-in-law, Pat Duff of Princeton; four grandchildren, Kimberly Glass, Kevin L. Murphy, Kent Murphy, and Laura Clark; and seven great-grandchildren.
