Funeral services for Alma Helen Sapp Pfister, 92, of Owensboro, were held at noon Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial followed in Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Thruston.

Mrs. Pfister died Friday, January 15, 2010 at her hom.

She was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church. She was a seamstress, a homemaker and worked at Cox Flower Shop in Calhoun, Bakers Rack and owned her own business restoring and dressing antique dolls.

Survivors include one son, Charles Douglas Pfister; three daughters, Charlotte Ann Mewbourne, Ella Joyce Pirtle and Mary Loyce McKenzie; six grandchildren, Charles, Jonathan, Douglas, Susan, John and Jessica; eight great-grandchildren, Emily Aaron, Jesse, Ashley, Sarah, Megan, Adam and Beth; one great-great grandson, Justin; two sisters, Jean and Billie; five nieces; six nephews and one cousin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Pfister; two sisters, Martha and Bernice; two brothers, James and Vernon, and one great-grandson, Zachary.
