Funeral services for Amon Orange, Jr., 80, of Caldwell County, were conducted on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. James Pleasant officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Orange died on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at 9:20 p.m., in the Emergency Room at Caldwell County Hospital following a long illness.

Mr. Orange was born on October 24, 1926, in Caldwell County. He was the son of the late George Amon, Sr., and Fraulene Henson Orange.

Mr. Orange was a retired millwright at Blaw-Knox Steel Mill in East Chicago, Ind.; was a member of Crossroads Christian Church; member of the V.F.W.; member of the Dawson Springs Tradewater Riders; and was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in WWII.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Neal Orange in 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Godfrey Orange of Princeton; two daughters and son-in-law, Donna Swatzell of Christian County and Sara and Tom Horvatich of Highland, Ind.; four grandchildren, Thomas Horvatich, Kimberly Benko, Rebecca Coggeshall, and George Lucas Swatzell; two great-grandchildren, Alexis Benko and Barrett Benko; and a sister, Elizabeth Steger of Princeton.
