Funeral Services for Ann Carr Askew Major 67, of Cadiz, were conducted Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home.

Rev. Wayne Glass & Rev. Lester Watson officiated at the services. Burial followed in Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Hopkinsville.

Mrs. Major died on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 2:40 p.m. at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville TN after a long illness.

Mrs. Major was born on May 4, 1940, in Linton, KY. She was the daughter of the late Arwood Vinson and Kathleen Carr Askew.

Mrs. Major was a Homemaker and a member of the East Cadiz Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Askew.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, George Major, Cadiz, two sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Major, of Hopkinsville, Greg and Carla Major, of Cadiz, one half brother, Ronnie Askew, two sisters, Lynda Harper, Reidland, Mary Garrison, Belleville, IL, and 4 grandchildren, Rachel and Justin Major, of Hopkinsville, Hannah and Leah Major, of Cadiz.

Serving, as pallbearers were Mike Baker, Kevin Baker, Steve Askew, Richard Askew, Mark Major, Terry Dexter and B.J. Riden.

James Outland, Vocalist and Connie Outland Instrumentalist provided the music.
