Trigg County Football’s season is still a summer away but Coach Shannon Burcham has the schedule for fall in place with a series of challenges for his Wildcat squad in their path back to the KHSAA State Football Playoffs.

The Wildcats go into the 2008 campaign looking to improve on a 9-4 mark with loses only to Christian County (6-6), Caldwell County (7-4) and Fort Campbell (13-20). The Wildcats will play two scrimmage games in August playing host to Marshall County August 15th then hitting the road to play Graves County at Calloway County high school on August 22nd.

The Wildcat opponents are the same as last year with the annual change in venue for most of these games. The Wildcats will again open their season on the road August 30 at Hopkinsville (4-7) facing the Tigers in the Jerry Claiborne Bowl before coming home to host Calloway County (7-5) September 5th in the Wildcat Chevrolet Bowl. The early game of the Wildcat Bowl will feature Marshall playing the Tigers of Hopkinsville. September 12th the Wildcats will play host to Hopkins Central (6-5), before hitting the road on September 19th to play Murray High (5-6) at historic Ty Holland Stadium in Murray. The ‘Cats will close out September at home against Reidland (1-9) on September 26th.
