Funeral services for Mr. Artis “Bud” Noel, 85, of Cadiz, were conducted on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Albert Clardy, Wayne Glass and Irvin Darnall officiated at the services. Burial followed in Trigg Memory Acres, in Cadiz.

Mr. Noel died on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at 12:15 a.m. at Trigg County Hospital, in Cadiz, of natural causes.

Mr. Noel was born on Friday, November 11, 1921, in Cadiz. He was the son of the late Ferd and Beulah (Downs) Noel.

Mr. Noel was retired from Pennyrile Electric after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Delmont Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy (Barnes) Noel, his second wife Dean (Skinner) Noel, two sisters, Pauline Taylor and Annie Maude Ricks, three nephews, Wallis Taylor, Rev. Arrice Taylor, and Steve Digby.

Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Jeannie and Don Jett, of Chattanooga, TN, one grandson, Michael Jett, of Paducah, two sisters, Adeline Baker, of Hopkinsville, and Elizabeth Digby, of Cadiz, one special friend, Rose Wright, of Cadiz.

Serving as pallbearers were J.F. Ricks, Michael Jett, Bill Digby, Dale Taylor, Billy Wayne Taylor, and Tony Fowler.

Johnnie Taylor, Pianist and Vocalist, Dan Turner and Dale Taylor, Ray Wyatt and Harold Smothers, Vocalist provided the music.
