David Thomas, the assistant principal for Trigg County Primary and Intermediate schools, will be leaving his position at the end of June.

Thomas sent a letter of resignation to the Trigg County Board of Education last week. In it, he wrote, “Though I have tremendously enjoyed the challenges and rewards of the position here and would dearly love to continue to be part of the ongoing success of these schools, family obligations force me to depart Trigg County for the Dallas, Texas area. I would like to simply express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to work here and the experience I gained by so doing. As an alumnus and graduate of Trigg County Public Schools, the black and white would have always been a part of me, but now it has left an indelible positive mark on my professional experience as well as my personal life.”
