Culligan Water of Cadiz sponsored rubber ducks for BBBS of Cadiz in 2009. The ducks were sold $5 each or five ducks for $20. They sold nearly 376 ducks this year. The rubber ducks were numbered and dropped into the water in Little River at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The winner was to be awarded a $500 cash prize. The winning duck owner was Ron Nash of Cadiz. Several local area businesses were very supportive of the $1,000 gift card tree. Carmen Finley of Cadiz was the winner of the fundraiser.
Those who participated and donated to the fundraiser were Wal-mart of Oak Grove, Red Lobster, O’Charley’s, Pizza Hut, Peebles of Hopkinsville, Olive Garden, Broadbent B&B Foods of Kuttawa, Gracious Me of Hopkinsville, The Blue Heron, Dots American Grille, El Bracero of Cadiz, Subway of Cadiz, Papa Johns, Scruffy Puppy Pet Grooming, Trigg County Automotive, Cadiz Florist, Cranberry Creek, Parker Quick Lube of Cadiz, Christian Life Bookstore of Murray, The Dollar General Store, Fred’s of Cadiz, Curves of Cadiz, Scentsy –Laura Bergeron, P’Pool Car Detailing.
Judge-Executive Stan Humphries and Property Valuation Administrator Michael Bryan donated Hancock’s Neighborhood Market gift cards.
