Funeral services for Barbara Bridges McBride, 86, of Orleans, Ind., formerly of Trigg County, were conducted on Monday, December 4, 2006, at 10 a.m., at Maple Grove Baptist Church.

Rev. Irvin Darnall and Janie Sumner Wall officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Drury-Bridges Cemetery.

Mrs. McBride died on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at Bloomington Hospital in Paoli, Ind., of natural causes.

Mrs. McBride was born on April 26, 1920, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Ira Clifton and Flo Templeton Bridges.

Mrs. McBride was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene McBride; and two brothers, M.D. Bridges and Ira Bridges, Sr.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Lois Bridges McBride Haywood of New Albany, Ind., Leah Hildred McBride and Joseph Ralph Morgan of Mitchell, Ind.; sister, Frieda Bridges Sumner of Cadiz; two grandchildren, Leah Morgan and Terry Joseph Padgett of Loogootee, Ind., and Joseph Bradley Morgan of Louisville; step great-grandchildren, Collin J. Padgett and Logan W. Padgett; sister-in-law, Lora D. Cunningham Bridges of Paducah; nieces, Linda Bridges Parish, Janie Sumner-Wall, and Flora Lee Bridges Smith; nephews, Walter Earl Bridges, Jerry Dale Bridges, Lanny M. Bridges, Rodger A. Bridges, E. Lewis Sumner, and E. Christopher Sumner.

Serving as pallbearers were J. Brady Morgan, Rodger A. Bridges, E. Lewis Sumner, Benjamin M. Harper, David B. Cunningham, and Thomas D. Harper.

Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Morgan, Terry Padgett, Walter E. Bridges, Jerry D. Bridges, Lanny M. Bridges, Bill G. Bridges, Bob S. Bridges, Robert L. Wall, James A. Cunningham, and E. Christopher Sumner.

Gillis A. Bridges, pianist, provided the music.
