Funeral services for Barbara Jean Taylor Phillips, 72, of Cadiz, were conducted on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Lester Watson and O.D. Boyd officiated at the services. Burial followed in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville.

Mrs. Phillips died on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 8:30 a.m., at her residence of natural causes.

Mrs. Phillips was born on February 22, 1935, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late Joe Clifford and Nina P. Bridges Taylor.

Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker, and a member of East Cadiz Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Phillips of Cadiz; a son, John Timothy Phillips of Cadiz; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Walt Boyd of Newstead; a sister, Mable Hudson of Benton; three grandchildren, Tera Beth Litchfield, Tabitha Irene Coleman, and Tiffany Walker; and two great-grandchildren, McDaniels Garrett and Dakota Coleman.

Clay King, vocalist and pianist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Mitchell Bryant, Kenneth Cunningham, Tom Covington, Mike Sale, Darrell Walker, and Jackie Walker.
