Funeral services for Bennie Board, 50, of the White Sulphur Community in Caldwell County, were conducted on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 2 p.m., at the White Sulphur Baptist Church with Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton in charge.

Rev. Jason Landreth officiated at the services. Burial followed in the White Sulphur Cemetery.

Mr. Board died on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at 9:30 p.m., at the University of Louisville Hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Board was born on October 1, 1956, in Caldwell County. He was the son of Geraldine Board Vinson of Eddyville, and the late Herbert Haydon Board.

Mr. Board was a truck driver for Clark Grave Vault Company, and was a member of the White Sulphur Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Polly Travis Board of Caldwell County; a son, Travis Michael Board of Sacramento, Calif.; a daughter, Jessica Bess Board of Caldwell County; a grandson, Cole Benjamin Baker; two brothers, Mike Board of Fredonia, and Gerald Board of Eddyville; a sister, Patricia Ann Board of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Shane Board, Kevin Board, Royce Board, Craig Board, Jay Travis, and Kyle Porter.
