Mrs. Whittinghill died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Mach 30, 2010 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.
Mrs. Whittinghill was born May 5, 1915 in Logan County.
Mrs. Whittingill was retired from laundry at Logan County Hospital, M&H Dry Cleaners and Modern Maid Dry Cleaners of Louisville. She was the oldest member of the Post Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Wanda Lee Walker of Olmstead, Brenda Faye Moseley (Jerry) of Olmstead, Joyce Marie Henderson of Russellville, Patsy Jo Boisseau (Eugene) of Olmstead, Shirley Ann Oberhausen (Bill) of Russellville and Cynthia Ann Sharpe (Ricky) of Adairsville; four sons, Clarence William Whittinghill, Jr. of Lewisburg, Clifford Ray Whittinghill (Sandy) of Cadiz, James Henry Whittinghill (Vickie) of Quality, Jewell Edward Whittinghill of Cadiz; two sisters, Susie Carroll of Greenville and Christine Insco of Lewisburg; 43 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren and 66 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Whittinghill, Sr.; her father, Joe Nickens; mother Ida Bell Nickens; two sons, Ronald Dee Whittinghill and Donald Lee Whittinghill; daughter Bettie Louise Poole; three brothers, James Nickens, William Franklin Nickens and Jesse Garfield Nickens; one sister, Daisy Randolph; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
