Graveside service for Bob Finley, 86, of the Lamasco Community, was conducted on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at 11 a.m., at the Lamasco Church Cemetery.

Rev. John Reilly officiated at the service. Burial followed in the Cemetery.

Mr. Finley died on Monday, August 7, 2006, at 1:12 p.m., at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa, following a long illness.

Mr. Finley was born on October 20, 1919, in Finley, Tenn. He was the son of the late Robert Chester, Sr., and Effie Wheeler Finley.

Mr. Finley was a retired farmer; was a member of the Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church; the Princeton Elks Lodge; and the American Legion. He graduated from Dyersburg High School and attended the University of Tennessee. He moved from Thompson Station, Tenn., to the Lamasco Community in Lyon County in 1973.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and one infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Gerry P. Finley; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Danita Finley of Lyon County; and two grandchildren, Ashley Finley and Taylor Finley.

Morgan Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of all the arrangements.
