William Turner enjoys his last release on Hopkinsville in Eldora’s Books. His next book, co-authored with LaDonna Anderson should be released December 4. Anderson and Turner will be available for a signing at Eldora’s on December 9 from 2-4 P.M.
Anderson said that Turner had collected several photographs and postcards over the past 50 years to collect some of the images in the book. “We went to residents in the Cerulean and Dawson Spring area and asked to borrow their photographs. We selected the best images we could, but it broke our hearts we could not use more.”
The book, published by Arcadia Press is scheduled for release on December 4, and will sell for $19.99. The book contains 220 images of Cerulean and other mineral springs that attracted tourists, and is 128 pages in length.
“It features Cerulean Springs and the old hotel with the town of Cerulean. There is a section on Governor Ned Breathitt because his mother grew up in Cerulean,” Anderson said.
Another section features Pulitzer Prize Winner and first U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Penn Warren. Warren’s parents and grandparents lived in the Cerulean area.
“I was so honored when William Turner approached me to co-author this book,” said Anderson.
