Funeral services for Boyce T. Braboy, 94, of Cadiz, were conducted on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at 11 a.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Dr. Mike Jones officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mr. Braboy died on Sunday, December 24, 2006, at 12:15 a.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.

Mr. Braboy was born on April 23, 1912, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Richard T. “Dick” and Lora B. Boyd Braboy.

Mr. Braboy was a retired Farmer, and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon; and was a Ky. Colonel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Martha Terrell Braboy; four brothers, McCoy Braboy, Shirley Braboy, Lacy Braboy, and John Braboy; four sisters, Lillie Maye Guier, Tressie Lancaster, Ruby Roberts, and Julia Lancaster; and a great-grandchild, Erin Taylor Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Polly Mason Braboy of Cadiz; three daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and John Marshall Gray of Cadiz, Bernice and Jesse Reide Brown of Glasgow, and Janice and Joe Powell of Elkton; three step-daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole and Tony Saturley of Chattanooga, Tenn., Linda and Charles Jenkins of Hopkinsville, and Cindy and Jerry Sholar of Cadiz; nine grandchildren, Marcia Gray Rutland of Enterprise, Ala., Lydia Gray Bosse of Madison, Ala., James Ronald Gray of Murray, Keith Brown of Cave City, Kim Brown Overstreet of Lexington, Bobby Holloman of Burlington, Craig Holloman of Trenton, Ginger Holloman Waldron of Hopkinsville, and Lindsey Powell Gibson of Elkton; six step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Ronnie Gray, Keith Brown, Bobby Holloman, Craig Holloman, Scott Bosse, Steve Rutland, Mark Overstreet, Ricky Walden, and John Gibson.

Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Thomas, Tom Vinson, Kenneth Oakley, Joe Oakley, Dennis Adams, Hugh Roberts, Jr., Ned Davis, Tiny Guier, Mack Cunningham, Robbie Flood, Clay Sholar, and Scotty Sholar.

Jan Oakley, pianist, provided the music.
