Funeral services for Bro. William “Billy Haydon” Rogers, 63, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at 10 a.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. James Shuck and Ronnie Hooks officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Bro. Rogers died on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at 10:30 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville following a long illness.

Bro. Rogers was born on September 8, 1942, in Cadiz. He was the son of the late Haydon and Charlene Elizabeth Parrent Rogers.

Bro. Rogers was a retired pastor, having served Rock Front Baptist Church, Macedonia Baptist Church, and South Union Baptist Church. He also retired from Trigg Knit Hosiery Mill in Cadiz. He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church in Trigg County.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Carolyn Bush Rogers of Cadiz; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Laurence Hartnett of Cadiz; brother, Gary Payne Rogers of Media, Pa.; two sisters and brother-in-law, Donna and Joe Packa of Birmingham, Ala., and Nell Evans of Murray; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Dwight Walker, Curt Holmes, Don Bush, Dilman Anderson, Joe Packa, and Kyle Evans.

Lou Cain, pianist, provided the music.
