Stephen Clayton, 19, broke into at least four Trigg County businesses in Sept. 2004 and stole various items from the businesses.
Nearly one year later to the day, the Dawson Springs native admitted to his offenses and Cunningham recommended 10 years of service behind bars.
According to police reports, Hancock’s Market in the Tollgate Shopping Center on Merchant Street reported a burglary on the evening of Sept. 14, 2004. Upon arrival, Officer Rebecca Bleidt discovered that Clayton and a juvenile in his company had attempted to use a baseball bat to break into the grocery store.
