Cadiz Civitan Club made contributions in March

The Cadiz Civitan Club met Tuesday, March 1, at the Cadiz Restaurant, with president Rachel Shepard presiding. David Kyler led the pledge to the U. S. flag and Willie Wilson said the prayer. Wallace Blakeley and William Lawrence gave reports on Civitan Candy Boxes.

A number of donations were approved: Boy Scouts $100, Trigg County High School Project Graduation $100, Big Brothers Big Sisters $150, DARE $300, Trigg County Special Olympics $300, and $500 to be used for the proposed Trigg County Youth Center.

Cadiz Civitan members teach and live by the Civitan motto, “Builders of Good Citizenship.” Those attending include Mike and Rachel Shepard, David Kyler, William and Carolyn Lawrence, Wallace Blakeley and Willie Wilson.

The Gold Dollar winner was David Kyler, who closed the meeting by reading the Civitan Creed. Cadiz Civitan will not meet on the usual third Tuesday, but the next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, at the Cadiz Restaurant.
