Skylar Shepard was riding southbound on Westend but didn’t stop at the intersection of LaFayette Street and crossed into incoming traffic, at which point he was struck by a pickup truck being driven by Wilford Kennedy, a Cadiz resident that was traveling eastbound, said Wiggins.
The child’s head hit the truck’s windshield, and then he landed in the bed of the pickup, Wiggins said.
