Funeral services for Carl Durham, 90, of Dexter, were conducted on Friday, March 3, 2006, at 1 p.m., at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray.
Rev. David Stewart officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Murray City Cemetery.
Mr. Durham died on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at 12:16 a.m., in Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Durham was born on November 30, 1915, in Lawrence County, Tenn. He was the son of the late William Earl and Stella Fisher Durham.
Mr. Durham was a retired farmer; was a member of the Temple Hill United Methodist Church; was a member of the Calloway County Democratic Party and served on the Executive Committee for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Durham, Ralph Durham, and Austin Durham.
Survivors include his wife, Dardanella Redick Durham of Dexter; two daughters, Frances Cummings of Hermitage, Tenn., and Teresa Bell and husband Danny of Dexter; two sisters, Lucille Smith of Wausau, Wis., and Mary Dean Lawson and husband Ronnell of Florence, Ala.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
