Funeral services with Military Honors for Carl Pool, 67, of Cadiz, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home.

The Rev. Lester Watson officiated. Burial followed in the Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Pool died of natural causes at 12:13 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2010 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Pool was born Sunday, December 6, 1942 in Christian County. He was the son of the late Utha and Edith McCargo Pool.

Mr. Pool was retired from Phelps Dodge. He was a member of East Cadiz Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran, member of The American Legion and former president of Trigg County Booster Club, He also volunteered as both football and baseball coach for many years.

Survivors include his wife Sandy Wyatt Pool of Cadiz; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Pool of Cadiz, Mark and Judy Pool of Cadiz and Larry and June Pool of Princeton; daughter Michelle Pool of Cadiz; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Faye Pool of Hopkinsville; grandchildren Skylar Pool, Raylan Pool, Cody Woody, Drew Pool, Stephany Pool, Andra Pool and Alex Pool.

Serving as pallbearers were David Pool, Davey Pool, Reno Hampton, Al Sumner, Ricky Perry and Joe Anderson.

Ray Wyatt, vocalist and instrumentalist, provided the music.
