Randy May and Dave Hammond will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery in Virgie.
Mr. Adkins died on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at 12:30 a.m., on Highway 164, Roaring Springs Road, in Trigg County, Ky., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Adkins was born on December 2, 1988, in Pikeville, Ky. He was the son of Steve and Kellye Johnson, of Virgie, Ky., formerly of Cadiz.
Mr. Adkins was currently a student at the Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tenn.; was a 2007 graduate of Trigg County High School; a veteran of the U.S. National Guard; and was a member of the Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Brice Miller of Virgie; sister, Mercedes Miller Wyatt of Cerulean; maternal grandparents, Ron and Sherry Adkins of Virgie; paternal grandparents, Freddie and Linda Johnson of Virgie, and Gail Johnson of Frenchburg; aunts and uncles, Tim and Trayci Dixon of Sevierville, Tenn., Todd and Adrienne Adkins of Benton, and Robbie and Tonya Johnson of Frenchburg; also a number of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Newsom, Donnie Hall, Freddie Johnson, Westley Newsome, James Newsome, Tim Dixon, Michael Wyatt, Micah Calhoun, and Aaron Hendon.
