Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Hughart Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville with the Revs. Robert Dixon and Steve Gaurneros officiating. Burial followed in Flat Lick Cemetery.
A native of Trigg County, he was born July 7, 1914, the son of the late Charles Wesley Pryor Sr. and Julia Pearl Francis Pryor.
He was a farmer and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Trigg County Riding Club, the Stewart County Riding Club and a former member of the Kentucky Horseman’s Fox Troting Association.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wesley Wayne Pryor, in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Joiner Pryor, three daughters, Wanda Boyd, Christian County, Marilyn Grimes, Hopkinsville, and Anita Clayton, Franklin Tenn. 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
