Trigg County High School Cheerleaders held a three-day NCA Camp on June 17, 18, and 19, 2008, at the TCMS gym.

Two National Cheerleading Association (NCA) instructors taught the camp. The cheerleaders learned new dance/pom-pom routines, stunts, and cheers for the upcoming football season.

NCA awarded all 19 cheerleaders with an Overall Excellent ribbon for participation in the camp and for the squad coming together as a team.

On the last day of camp, parents were invited to watch what their daughters had learned.

NCA had watched each cheerleader throughout the week and chose 13 to try out for NCA All-American Cheerleader. They are as follows: Gabby Pettigrew, Kelsey Chlupsa, Linda Fitch, Macy Nichols, Sarah Williamson, Kelsey Stewart, Kamryn Smith, Chandler Smith, Kristen Waldrop, Taylor Creed, Katie Johnson, Cheniqua Smithers, and Crystal Thurston. Nine of the 13 chose to try for All-American, four girls made the squad, Freshman, Kelsey Chlupsa; Sophomore, Sarah Williamson, Junior, Macy Nichols, and Senior, Gabby Pettigrew.

TCHS has two new coaches this season, Kara Stevenson, Head Coach, and Molly Oliver, Assistant Coach.
