Cherry, Burcham engage

Melissa Sumner Cherry of Hopkinsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cherry of Cadiz are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jessie Leigh Cherry, to Jason Todd Burcham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Burcham of Cadiz.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Sumner, Jr. of Hopkinsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Odell Cherry of Lafayette. She is a 2003 graduate of Trigg County High School, and is currently attending Hopkinsville Community College pursuing a career in nursing.

Her fiancé is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Haydon Sholar, and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Cleo Burcham, all of Cadiz. He is a 1991 graduate of Trigg County High School, and is employed by Jones Construction.

The wedding is scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2005, at 5:30 p.m., at Locust Grove Baptist Church, 83 Locust Grove Church Road in Caledonia.

A reception will follow the ceremony in the church’s fellowship hall. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and reception. Invitations are being sent to out-of-town guests only.
