Mr. Wade died following a short illness at 7:38 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011 at his home.
He was born August 27, 1944 in Caldwell County to the late Clyde Wade and Frances Gardner Wade. He was a store clerk at Akridge Farm Supply in Princeton. He was a member, a deacon and served as past Sunday school director for over 20 years as well as having served as treasurer of Southside Baptist Church. In addition, Mr. Wade was a United Sates Navy veteran having served on the board of U.S.S. Sequoia Sec. of Navy Private Yacht during the Kennedy Administration.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles L. Wade, Ernest Ray Wade and Jesse Franklin Wade.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Merrick Wade of Princeton; two daughters, Maria Adams (and husband Steve) of Princeton and Brandi Stevens (and husband Richard) of Smyrna, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Austin Adams, Zach Adams and step-granddaughter Kayla Bates; two step-great-grandchildren, Rayleigh and Toby Bates; one sister-in-law, Chris Hubbard (and husband Karl and son Will); one aunt, Dorothy Doss of Hopkinsville; one uncle, Jesse Bryant of Hopkinsville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
