City Attorney Jamus Redd and Logan Askew, who is representing Headley Bluff and the residents suing the City, both received a letter dated Aug. 22 from W.E. Rogers, a Hopkinsville attorney who is representing Arrowhead Golf Club, Inc., which is owned by Marshall Roberts.
“My client … is probably the single largest property owner (157 acres)” affected by the two annexations that have been found void or voidable, reads the letter.
“We believe that any settlement of the … cases should include Arrowhead Golf Club,” the letter reads, adding that Roberts has not been involved in “any of the settlement negotiations.”
“In light of the status of the present lawsuits, I believe it is timely for all parties to consider my client as a major player,” the letter continues. “I must caution you that any attempt to conclude a settlement that violates the rights of my client will be legally resisted.”
