The City of Cadiz paid plaintiffs of the Hedly Bluff class action lawsuit an additional $17,195.19 based on 13 additional claims filed by the July 31 deadline for taxation by the city on three subdivisions improperly annexed by the city.

By order of Judge C.A. “Woody” Woodall III, the city had to pay residents of these subdivisions $123,000 on June 25. The second order, also issued by Woodall, includes repayment for 13 more plaintiffs, $387.85 to the Trigg County Fiscal Court for payment of county insurance premium taxes, and $2,579.27 to the circuit clerk for any award of attorney fees for the plaintiffs’ attorney and other costs.
