Don Hoelson of the Classic Car Club of America said the group was touring from Sept. 16 to Sept. 28, from Memphis, Tenn., to Land Between the Lakes, Paducah, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and then back to Memphis.
Hoelson said, during the trip, which they titled “Rivers, Roads and Rhythm,” while the group stopped in LBL for a couple of days, they decided to check out Cadiz, which they were attracted to because of the antique stores that dot downtown Main Street.
Group members Peggy Lacy and Jill Lee said the group holds such caravans at different parts of the country at least once a year.
The group has been around since the 1950s, and members from around the country own a wide variety of cars, including Cadillacs, Duesenbergs, Studabakers, Rolls Royces, Auburns, Bentleys and other types.
