Services for Clent Earl Colson, 70, of Murray, were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Imes-Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating.

Colson died in his home on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009. He was born on June 27, 1939, in Golden Pond to the late Dewey and Ada Mohan Colson.

Mr. Colson was a U.S. Navy veteran who received his MBA from Murray State University in 1984. A master plumber and electrician, Colson became and accomplished building contractor and published author of “Tales from Between the Rivers.”

He followed his construction and writing years by retiring as a Post Master in Almo, Ky. During his retirement he served as a deputy sheriff in Calloway County.

In addition to his parents, Colson is preceded in death by his two brothers Clyde and Seldon Colson.

He is survived by his wife Joan Siris Colson, to whom he was married Sept. 23, 1966, and his two sisters Irene Edmonds, wife of T.O., and Maxine Sumner, wife of Bill, both of Cadiz.
