Rev. Irvin Darnall officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mr. Bridges died on Monday, January 23, 2006, at 7:30 p.m., at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Bridges was born on June 6, 1910, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Drew Manley and Lena Guier Bridges.
Mr. Bridges was a self-employed carpenter; was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII; and was a member of the Donaldson Creek Baptist Church in Trigg County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Lancaster Bridges; son, Clayton Earl Bridges; three sisters, Lola Gray, Robbie Cunningham, and Elizabeth Thomas; and four brothers, Gordon Bridges, John Bridges, Clovis Bridges, and Mosco Bridges.
Survivors include a granddaughter and husband, Teresa and Keith Wicker of Almo; a grandson and wife, Kenny and Davida Bridges of Murray; and five great-grandchildren, Denisha Bridges, Jordyn Bridges, and Shania Bridges, all of Murray, and Whitney Wicker, and Shauna Wicker, both of Almo.
J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray was in charge of all the arrangements.
