Cofield wins another national title

LOUISVILLE – Trigg County native Graham Cofield picked up some more hardware over the weekend, winning the National Field Archery Association’s Indoor Nationals at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville.

Cofield won in the professional male freestyle limited division, shooting a perfect 300 with 52 bull’s-eyes Saturday and 299 with 51 Xs Sunday.

Graham’s brother, Grady Cofield, also competed at the event in the adult male freestyle limited class. He finished ninth out of 16 shooters, scoring 288 with 21 bull’s-eyes on Saturday and 297 with 33 Xs Sunday.

In other archery news, the Trigg County Arrowcats will compete for another state championship this weekend in Louisville.
