Funeral Services for Cozie (Futrell) Outland, 93, of Gracey were conducted Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Reverend Roy Field and Rev. Brian Hall officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery, Cadiz.

Mrs. Outland died on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, 12:25 a.m. at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville, following a long illness.

Mrs. Outland was born on Thursday, December 18, 1913, in Stewart Co., TN. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Betty (McCoy) Futrell.

Mrs. Outland was a homemaker and a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Outland, one grandchild, Jimmy Futrell, two brothers, Dick Futrell and Floyd Futrell, and six sisters, Lucy Hall, Lora Borens, Ollie Williams, Mabel Nunn, Birdie Outland, Audrey Belle Cook.

Survivors include, four daughters and sons in law, Louise and W.D. Askew, of Herndon, Elene and Lloyd Boren, of Pembroke, Hilda and Ethell Futrell, of Paducah, Mary and Clayton Sholar, of Gracey, one sister, Katie Pearl Downs, of Hopkinsville, eight grandchildren, W.D. Askew, Jr., Martha Moore, Brenda Jenkins, Betty Wallace, Faye Fondaw, Annette Fennell, Paul Askew, Deena Oliver, nineteen great grandchildren, and seventeen great great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Brian Oliver, W.D. Askew, Jr., Roy Fondaw, Ricky Farmer, Tony Fennell and David Jenkins.
