Cole Davis

Cole Davis is a senior at TCHS and has been a soccer star since age 4. He began playing in Louisville for a YMCA team, then came the more competitive levels. He joined the Mockingbird club team at age 12, the Louisville soccer alliance after that, Jackson Purchase Futbol club was next in line after the move to Western Kentucky, Pennyrile United Futbol club out of Princeton, and finally Ambush soccer club out of Hopkinsville. As you can tell, Cole has a great history in the game of soccer.

Cole says that he likes soccer because of the freedom. “You have the freedom to do what you want. No one is calling plays.” Cole has a younger sister, Taylor Davis, who is quite the soccer star, herself! She was a team captain this year… he freshman year! Both Cole and Taylor received All- District/Region awards this past season.

Cole plays football for TCHS, as well. Football is the sport that Cole will play in college. He intends to major in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training.

Cole is very optimistic for the contact sports in the future of Trigg County. “I think that the football team will be well-off; the soccer team will have their work cut out for them with the loss of three players to the Academy, but can do well under the coaching of Josh Nichols!” Cole has a 3.6 gpa and a 28 composite ACT score. Now you know… Cole Davis… one of this week’s Weekly Wildcats!

Abigail Torian

Abigail Torian is a sophomore at Trigg High. Abigail has an obvious talent… speed! She shows that talent very skillfully both on the soccer field and the track. Abigail has become highly involved in the high school girl’s team and an important asset/weapon. She can strike down field and put the ball in the net. Abigail has several athletic siblings. One of the six, Andy Torian, the only guy, played soccer and baseball for the Cats. All of Abigail’s four sisters played TCHS athletics, too! This is truly an athletic family. Abigail’s father played baseball here back in his day.
