Burial followed at the Starkie Thomas Cemetery, in Trigg County.
Mr. Freeman died on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at 5:27 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY of natural causes.
Mr. Freeman was born on Friday, January 30, 1931, in Christian County. He was the son of the late Samuel Dell and Tyline Mitchell Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was a Farmer, cattleman, real estate broker, auctioneer. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Trigg Co., and Guthrie Baptist Church, Guthrie, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher, as well as Sunday school superintendant and Sunday school teacher at his first church, Locust Grove Baptist Church, Trigg Co. He was a 50 year member of the Cadiz Masonic Lodge #121 and Ophelia Chapter of the order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Scottish Rite, West KY Consistory.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Barbara Ann Freeman Edwards, and one step son, Stanley Maxwell.
Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty years, Rose Clare Bridges Freeman, of Cadiz, sons and daughters in law, Dell and Mary Freeman, of Cadiz, Smith T. and Jerri Freeman, of Paducah, daughters and son in law, Carla and Nathan Jones, of Bowling Green, daughter, Brenda Susan Oliver, of Lyon Co., two brothers in law, Carl Bridges, of Cadiz, Mack Stapleton, of Akron, OH, six grandchildren, Jackie Oliver, Jr., Misty Boyer, Morgan Freeman, Peyton Freeman, Cortnee Kennedy, and Andrew Kennedy, three great grandchildren, Sean Meador, Zachary Meador, and Bryan Kennedy.
