Woodbine Funeral Home, in Nashville, Tenn., conducted graveside services for Delores Dale “Doodie” Crisp Pieczara, 79, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Trigg County, on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at 10 a.m., at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.

Rev. Bill Taylor officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cemetery.

Mrs. Pieczara died on Friday, April 20, 2007, at Southern Hills Hospital in Nashville of natural causes.

Mrs. Pieczara was born on September 12, 1927, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of Lexie and Lola Cunningham Crisp.

Mrs. Pieczara grew up in Trigg County with her aunt and uncle, Eula and James Gentry, following the death of her mother when she was three, and graduated from Trigg County High School. She worked for R.A. Magraw in the Trigg County Clerk’s office in the 1940s-1950’s; in her younger years, she was a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church, where she sang in a trio with Frances White and Lucy Terry White; she was also a beautician, and worked in a shop located in Arnolds when it was located on Main Street in Hopkinsville.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Arthur “Art” Pieczara of Nashville; a niece, Ramona Denson of Huntsville, Texas; a great-niece, Lexie Dee McBee; a great-nephew, Guyston Clement; a great-great-nephew, Mason McBee, all of Cartersville, Ga.; and several local relatives, including Lucille Witty and Tiffany Brunson.
