Funeral services for R.C. Dillard, 65, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Friday, March 10, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.

Rev. Will Mason officiated at the services. Burial followed in Patterson Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Dillard died on Monday, March 6, 2006, at 1 p.m., at his residence of natural causes.

Mr. Dillard was born on April 10, 1940, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Nathaniel and Rosie Bell Jones Dillard.

Mr. Dillard was a Farmer Laborer, and was a member of Little River Baptist Church in Cadiz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James H. Dillard; and a sister, Martha Jean Dillard.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Dillard and Ray Shawn Dillard, both of Hopkinsville, and Shawn Dillard of Louisville; three daughters, Frances Mart, Valerie Matlock, and Brenda Vining, all of Hopkinsville; four brothers, E.D. Dillard, Mack N. Dillard, Charles N. Dillard, and Henry C. Dillard, all of Hopkinsville; four sisters, Lucy Bacon, and Virginia McCombs, both and Hopkinsville, Johnnie D. Wilson of Louisville, and Carolyn Dillard of Atlanta, Ga.
