Rev. Wayne Glass, assisted by Rev. Archie Brock, officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Starkie Thomas Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mrs. Thomas died on Sunday, May 28, 2006, at 10:05 p.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.
Mrs. Thomas was born on March 22, 1919, in Dewitt, Ark. She was the daughter of the late George and Maybelle Harris Smith.
Mrs. Thomas worked at Elk Brand; and was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Clifton Thomas; three sons, Dorris Thomas, Bobby Thomas, and Jackie Thomas in infancy; two brothers, Mox Smith and Otto Smith; and a sister, Lillie Mills.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton Thomas and Ross Thomas, both of Cadiz; five daughters and sons-in-law, Nell and Mac McClure and Brenda and Mike Underwood, all of Clarksville, Josephine and Bill Williamson of Houston, Mo., and Betty and J.F. Ricks and Delores Burnam, all of Cadiz; daughter-in-law, Tootsie Thomas of Cadiz; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Amill Smith of Litchfield.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Jeffrey Ricks, Joey Ricks, Trent Ricks, Ray Burnam, David Thomas, Josh Thomas, Tommy Knight, Ricky McClure, and George Clifton Thomas.
Martha Fortner, pianist, and Missy Fowler, vocalist provided the music.
