Funeral services for Don S. Walker, 62, of Cadiz, were conducted on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Irvin Darnall, O.D. Boyd, and Lester Watson conducted the services. Burial followed in East Cadiz Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadiz with Military Honors provided by the American Legion.

Mr. Walker died on Friday, March 17, 2006, at 11:51 p.m., at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah following a long illness.

Mr. Walker was born on June 27, 1943, in Thomasville, N.C. He was the son of the late James Walker and Catherine Leola Hilton Brown.

Mr. Walker was a factory worker; a retired bus driver for the Trigg County Schools System; veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam; and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Mickey Carr Walker; three daughters and sons-in-law, Christl and James Pepper, Kelli and John McCoy, and Melanie and Brad Mohon, all of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Danielle Pepper, Misty Pepper, John Pepper, Rebecca Boyd, and Ben McCoy; two great-grandchildren, Devin Jones and Casey Boyd; and a sister, Katherine Lamm of San Angelo, Texas.

Steven Darnall, organist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Jerett Bell, Stephen Audas, Jr., Carson Fuller, Kevin Stroud, Billy C. Stallons, and David Gandy.

Honorary pallbearers were Sonny Taylor, Dennis Thomas, R.L. Perry, Billy Carr, Anthony Carr, and Berlin Carr.
