Mr. Sharp died at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at his home of natural causes.
Mr. Sharp was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Evansville, Ind., to the late Clarence Sharp and Dorothy Cole Sharp.
A member of Canton Baptist Church, Mr. Sharp was a retired mechanic from the United Mine Workers’ Assocation.
In addition to his parents, Sharp was preceded in death by his wife Carilou Harger Sharp and his son Randy Sharp.
Survivors include three sons David Sharp of Evansville, Ind., Ronald and Michael Sharp of Cadiz, and three daughters Cindy Fleming of Cannelton, Ind., Tammy Caldwell of Cadiz, Tina Romine of Evansivlle, Ind.
He is also survived by two brothers Mike Sharp of Tennison, Ind., and Jimmy Sharp of Evansville, Ind., three sisters, Jenny Schucker of Evansville, Ind., Peggy Sharp of Louisville, and Carolyn Hendricks of Evansville, Ind., as well as 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
