Funeral services for Earlene Curtis, 79, of Cadiz, were held Monday, February 22, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Thomas Hollingsworth and Timothy Hollen officiated. Interment followed at Hurricane Cemetery.

Mrs. Curtis died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at her residence in Cadiz.

She was a member of Baptist faith and was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Porterfield of Greensboro; two sons, Mike Curtis of Winter Haven, Fla., and Curtis Curtis of Cadiz; two sisters, Ruby Hollingsworth of Springfield, Mo. and Ruthy Ferris of Springfield, Mo.; one half-sister, Louise Kinchen of Winter Haven, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Rose Birtha (Lee) Riggs, husband Harrison Curtis, son Patrick Curtis, two brothers Billy Wayne Riggs and William T. Riggs and one sister, Lucille Walton.
