The Cadiz Lions Club will once again hold an Easter egg hunt at West Cadiz Park this year. The hunt will begin at 1 p.m. on March 15 and is free of charge. In case of rain, it will be postponed until the following week, March 22, at the same time, said Marilyn Bugbee, who is in charge of filling about 1,000 eggs with goodies and prizes. Lions member Bill Abel has been in charge of the event for several years.

Bugbee said that many local businesses help the club to put on the event every year, which includes giving away bicycles, tricycles, 12 savings bonds, portable CD players and $350 to $450 in cash, among other things like Easter baskets, stuffed animals, toys, candy and chocolate bunnies.

Special prizes will be awarded in four different age groups. Infants up to 10-year-olds are invited to participate. Children are asked to bring their own baskets. For more information, call Abel at 522-9157.
